WOW!! What a wonderful and relaxing trip we had with our son for his graduation present!! I could not have asked for more. Carol and Perry were so friendly and made us feel right at home, cabins were awesome and the fishing was INCREDIBLE!!! Tons of pike, caught a 34 inch pike and my husband and son fished like heck to out do me!
Dad and I just returned from our 15th trip to Young's. Each year the facilities have improved, but the constant has always been the great service. We fished hard, ate well and returned home looking forward to next year's trip. Thanks Carol and Perry.
My family has fished at Lake of the Woods and stayed at Youngs twice. Each time We loved every minute of it. We have even stayed in the same cabin both times. This is one of my favorite places in the entire world. The island is absolutely gorgeous full of tress everywhere along with loons singing to you all the time. We caught tons of Pike and this Kansas girl is dying to catch more. We made some treasured memories at Youngs. That will always remember. Carol and Perry are great and Carol's cooking makes it even better :) WE definately need to return very soon.
PS Lake of the woods has swallowed several of my brothers and I's baseballs. Lesson do not play catch on the island haha.
This was my 8th or 9th year at Youngs. Each year brings something different. Fishing can be good or it can be great. But the best part is the SERVICE at Youngs. Perry and Carol do an outstanding job of taking care of each and every guest. The dock helper are always there to lend a helping hand. The cabin are cleaned and service each and every day. All the cabins are modern and up to date. There might not be TV in the cabin, but who cares. It great to be away from the bad news of the day. Sitting out on the deck with your family, and looking out at the view of Stevens Bay is way better then any TV show you can watch. The meals served at Youngs are not good .......they're GREAT. If you don't gain 2lbs or 3lbs while you are at Youngs. Then there is something wrong with you. Carol out does herself every day. Simple sandwiches to Prime Rib dinners. The only complaint I have about Youngs is I HAVE TO EVENTUALLY GO HOME!! If you are reading this, trying to decide to go to YOUNGS. You won't be SORRY! I fished at Young's for my 12th year (I think( in mid September. I fished for a day with my dad, then I fished with some friends from Sweden that I met at Young's a couple of years ago.
The musky fishing was the best I'd ever had at Young's to date! I either caught, or helped catch, somewhere around 30 musky in 6 days. Most were in the upper 30's to mid 40's with the best at 49" caught by new buddy "backlash Charlie".

I fished at their cabin on Kish during the last week of July 2008, I have not ever caught so many fish in my life.
